Reading
Reception – We expect children to read with an adult at home at least three-four times a week and record their regular reading in their Reading Record book. Even if these are short, ten minute sessions, it will make a big difference.
Y1&Y2 – It is really important that we ensure our children are confident readers who have a love of reading. Therefore I would ask that children read at least three times a week and that this is recorded in their reading records. This will then ensure that the children receive their reading stickers and awards. Towards the end of Year 2 children will have their Accelerated Reader levels and login information so they can complete quizzes at home too.
